The holidays are here

Kevin plays bass for Mission Oak Band High School Band. He can also play the snares, quads, symbols, and saxophone too.

Aunty Emma, Tepa, Uli (plays for New Mexico State), and me at the Fresno State football game! I had the loud mouth Fresno state fan take our picture. Fa'afetailava sole.

My children are looking forward to Thanksgiving, or what they call "A Feast".
We have so much to be grateful for this year. My children and I are so blessed and thankful for all that we have. We wish love and hope to all of our friends and families in Samoa and Hawaii. Happy Thanksgiving.

My girls

Kolei finally found someone else besides mom to do her hair and she is loving it. I am loving homeschooling. Kolei does K12 and it has been the best thing ever!! No homework, brand new materials, one on one time with the teacher, I could go on, but I will leave that for Kolei to brag about. I am just very fortunate to have a motivated child to want to do homeschooling and follow it through, because I couldn't do it. I enjoyed going to an actual class room. Anyhow, homeschooling has also allowed Kolei time to do many other things she enjoys like sketching her future fall line, drawing, writing music, and completing her personal progress book for Young Womens. We're all proud of you Leilei. Now maybe you'll have time to change a diaper too???

Kolina Velvet dancing on the table

So Kolina Velvet started walking at 9 months. Then she started climbing the furniture and rolling off of it. She has also managed to put everything and anything in her mouth. She understands, "sasa", "inu", "fia ai", clap your hands, say "bye bye", and our favorite is when I call out "Kolei" she immediately looks for meand tries to hide. She knows when I call out for Kolei its means she has to go with sissy and that she doesn't. We call her the kitty when she is being naughty and babydoll when she wants to cuddle, which is rare because she is always on the go. My baby is already a toddler. It went by too fast.

Kenneth Jet on the ice for the first time!!

Kenneth Jet, is four. He started talking full and clear sentences at 2years old. He loves drawing, learning about music, science, geography, and food. He can write his whole name for you and has memorized several books and a deck of picture words. We were watching a movie about the life of Beethoven, the composer, and Kenny could recall all the music pieces being played because of the "Little Einstein" show. Kenny also loves to dance and sing though he doesn't like to be put on stage just yet. Now if only Kenny would play football and boxing without tears his big brother Kev would be happy. Just can't win them all!

Sundays

I love Sundays. . . .

Kolei surprised me today with her talk. She had not told me she was giving a talk until Friday evening she wanted to surprise me. Then today she didn't even use her typed out paper (talk)when she found out the other speaker was given the same topic. She chose to just be inspired and say something from the heart. And she did. I was never that brave or honest or confident at her age, 13. I am so humble to know this soul and know she is my Heavenly Father's daughter. These past few months have been about creating inspiration and happiness in our daily lives. in our home, and that is what Kolei creates for us. My children create teaching moments for me every day.

Kenneth Jet is the heart of this family. He was watching Safety patrol and he learned about "What to do when you get lost?" That very day in the afternoon we went to the church building. Kenny ran out of the cultural hall and into the foyer, got himself locked out. Immediately he waited Kelsey Spencer walks by and Kenny says, "Hey you, I was told if I get lost to stay in one place and tell someone, so I'm lost can you help me "find me"?" Kelsey just laughed and told us the story. That's Kenny for you, he's been the articulate and friendly little man since he was two. He loves to learn about new places and Australia is one of his favorite continents. He has been digging up holes in the front and back yard trying to find treasures. So for his birthday Kolei drew maps and Kenny got to go on a treasure hunt with his cousins and friends to look for his birthday treasures, his favorite part was finding the "X" then digging up the treasure chest that held the party favors and goodies for his friends. He loves learning and using new words too like, "interesting, beautiful, exhausted, and constellation" and Kenny also has a memory like an elephant. We just love this "little man" he says he wants to grow up to be a chef or football player.

Miss Kolei Keleise of Tulare

I just want to thank my mom Salaevalu and dad, Iuni, my dear friend Tepa Scanlan and her aiga, Kolei's YW's leader Brenda Thomas, and Sis. Tafiti who all helped Kolei prepare and be a part of the Little Miss Heritage Pageant, it was so worth it. I got so emotional watching Kolei perform her talent, she sang "I am child of God" as she played her guitar and sang in english and Samoan. Then when she did the taualuga dance as a taupou I was more emotional with tears of joy at how beautiful and graceful she danced. Kolei won "Best talent" she did a wonderful job! Kolei also made new friends with Siala of San Jose & Fiola of San Francisco.

Our Graduate!!!

Kevin JaeIsaac's 8th grade graduation

We are so happy and proud of Kevin. This is a kid or better yet, a young man who prides himself on being on time, never missing a day of school, and insists to sit in the front of the class room. That is how serious Kevin is about his education. He also got awarded for his second passion playing the drums. We are just happy to see him continually achieving his goals as he is excited to begin the next step.
